The class of 2025 is due to graduate in May, and with a group of fun, interesting and amazing people as this year’s graduates, it’s difficult to pick just two people. But the votes have been cast, and the results are in. Preston Wagner and Brenna Scott have been elected Mr. and Ms. Hallettsville High School.
“I am very honored to be titled Ms. HHS. It makes me feel grateful for being a part of Hallettsville High School, and I cherish the bonds I’ve made with all the students and teachers,” Scott said.
Scott is very involved in school activities such as HBNN, Student Council and NHS. She is also very involved in her community and popular with the students at HHS.
“If I’m being honest, I think HHS tends to focus mainly on athletics. But I participate in pretty much everything besides sports, so it is pretty awesome that I was given this title. I like that I can represent all the other students like me who aren’t involved in the biggest program at our school,” Scott said.
Mr. And Ms. Hallettsville is a time-honored tradition of HHS. Voting on who will be the faces of the graduating class is a great way for students of all grades to decide who they want to represent the school. Being Mr. or Ms. Halletsville is a great accomplishment for any person.
“I plan to continue being that sort of lead-by-example sort of person in all areas of my life, including academically,” said Wagner.
Wagner is also very involved within the school and community. A member of NHS and a multi-sport athlete, he works hard to embody the values of Hallettsville High School, and being voted Mr. HHS has given him the reinforcement that his efforts have not gone unnoticed.
“I would say the core values of HHS are accountability and respectfulness,” Wagner said. “It feels good to know that I’m well-respected by my peers and teachers.”
Brenna Scott and Preston Wagner are both well-deserving of the titles of Ms. and Mr. HHS for the Class of 2025. These two have the honor to represent a wonderful class of people and another fantastic year for Hallettsville High School.
