Schedule Pick-Up: Don’t Miss It
Students will not receive their class schedule unless the school has received both a current proof of residence and a completed health information form.
Freshmen will receive their schedules at Fish Camp on Thursday, Aug. 7 from 11:30 a.m to 1 p.m.
Sophomores, juniors, and seniors can pick up their schedules on Monday, Aug. 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Students who do not bring the required documents will not receive a schedule at pickup.
New Device Policy: Phones Off, All Day
This year, Hallettsville ISD is enforcing a new Personal Communication Device Policy, in accordance with House Bill 1481, passed during the 89th Texas Legislative Session. Under the new policy, all personal communication devices must be powered off and out of sight during the entire school day.
This includes:
Cell phones
Smart watches
AirPods and earbuds
Headphones
Gaming devices
Any device capable of sending or receiving messages
Students may not use their devices during lunch or passing periods. The only exception is for students who leave campus for off-campus lunch; devices may be used only while off campus.
If a parent or guardian needs to contact their student during school hours, they must call the front office, and staff will deliver any urgent messages promptly. Likewise, if a student needs to reach out to their guardian, they may request to use the main office phone.
This policy has been implemented statewide in public ISDs to encourage stronger face-to-face communication, increased student engagement, and more meaningful relationships between students, teachers, and peers.
Updated Bell Schedule
This year, HISD made a few changes to the daily bell schedule. Students should review the updated times and familiarize themselves with the new routine. A digital version of the schedule is available on the Hallettsville ISD Facebook page.
