The Brahmas line up, Ready to play Football.
On Friday, Sept. 6, our Brahmas went to Gonzales to face off against the Apaches. They continue their losing streak, but will never stop fighting for Hallettsville.
Coach Timothy Bridges speaks on past football games.
“The fight from the kids was unbelievable,” Coach Bridges said.
They fought till the end and held the game until the last couple of minutes. Even with one minute left and the ball in the opponent’s hand, the Hallettsville Brahmas never gave up, even though they were losing. Senior football player Brennan Henneke put into words how everyone played.
“Some folks slacked off in the beginning, but everyone got going at the end,” Henneke said.
On Friday, Sept. 12, our Brahmas traveled to Tidehaven. They lost, continuing their streak. Coach Ryan Barnes explains what happened this past Friday.
“I thought we did some good things Friday night,” Barnes said.
Senior Wyatt Kram continues with the good words as he talks about the wonderful things that happened during the game.
“We moved the ball better against the number one team in the state,” Kram said. “We looked a lot better against Tidehaven than the previous two games.”
While being coachable and trying your best are important, showing up is just as important. The student section and even just the parents in the stands hype up and motivate the players. Even Coach Barnes finds them important.
“The crowd is a big thing,” Barnes said. “The more involved the crowd is, the better the players play.”
Come out to this year’s Homecoming game tonight to support our team against the Rice Raiders!
