First group picture in Spain!
Hallettsville students and faculty, along with some other friends, had the opportunity of a lifetime to travel to Spain from July 8th to 16th. A group of 18 people, led by Danielle Buehring, the Spanish II and III teacher, took a trip to Spain, traveling with EF Tours.
The group’s trip started in Madrid, the capital of Spain. The group’s time in Madrid was spent exploring Plaza de Sol, the Royal Palace of Madrid, and touring the city.
The next stop on the list was Toledo, a beautiful city filled with old buildings and a beautiful river. The group got to spend time walking around the city, touring a cathedral and enjoying the amazing view. Then, they got to zipline over the Tagus River.
By day four, the group was in Granada, the city of Pomegranates. In the morning, they traversed the hills, leading up to the windmills of Consuegra and the Castle of La Muela. The night was spent enjoying a walk around the city and watching a flamenco dance. The next day, spent in Granada, the group was exploring the Alhambra.
Days six and seven were spent in Costa del Sol and Marbella, for the group to explore the beach and get their last souvenir shopping in. The rocky beach of the Mediterranean Sea was stunning to view with the bright blue sky and sailboats floating lazily on the horizon. The water was cool and refreshing under the Spanish sun, making a great end to the trip.
Bright and early in the morning, the group headed back to the States, a new experience fresh in their minds.
