Hallettsville High School Principal Mason Briscoe has been named the 2025-26 Region 3 High School Principal of the Year by the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP).
Nominated by the Hallettsville ISD Superintendent, Briscoe was chosen to represent Region 3, one of 20 regions in Texas. He will be honored at the TASSP Summer Workshop in June, where he will have the opportunity to compete for the state title of Texas Principal of the Year.
TASSP is a professional organization that represents more than 6,400 campus-level administrators across Texas. Each year, TASSP honors outstanding administrators from each of the state’s 20 Education Service Center regions. Winners are chosen by their peers based on good performance and outstanding leadership on their campuses.
According to the official TASSP website, “Its purpose is to build an active network of educators who want to take responsibility for the quality of school leadership.”
“This is a tremendous honor,” Briscoe said. “I’m thankful for the support of the office staff, faculty, administrative team, the Hallettsville ISD community, the people of Hallettsville, and especially my wife for supporting me in this role.”
Briscoe is currently in his third year as principal of Hallettsville High School and previously served as assistant principal for one and a half years. He has been part of Hallettsville ISD for 10 years, working in leadership roles that have shaped the school’s growth and success.
“I look forward to continuing to make Hallettsville High School a great place,” Briscoe said.
Briscoe’s recognition reflects not only his leadership but also the teamwork and dedication of Hallettsville High School’s faculty, staff, and students. This award highlights his ongoing commitment to maintaining a positive school culture, fostering student success, and building strong relationships within the school and community.
