The Hallettsville High School Lady Brahmas volleyball team is off to a great start this year. They have been working very hard to achieve their goals this year and accomplish so much this season by pushing themselves to be greater than last year.
“My main motivation for playing volleyball is knowing that there are younger girls looking up to me and that I need to be the best role model I can be for them,” Haven Drozd said. “What I love most about playing volleyball is not only the wonderful bonds and friendships I’ve made with the girls and my coaches, but it’s also the thrill I get from competition.”
The volleyball girls have a special bond due to the many games they play and the road trips they take. It is hard work keeping up with school and practices, but they do a good job of managing it all. Their motivation comes from stepping onto the court and trying their best.
Sophomore Lexi Bludau said, “What I love most about playing volleyball is that it has always been the fact that I find peace and happiness every time I step onto the court, which motivates me to keep pushing even when it’s hard. The one thing I love most about volleyball is how fired up everyone around you gets when you get a kill, ace, or good pass!”
Congratulations to our Lady Brahma’s volleyball team and all of the success they’ve had this year. The Lariat staff wishes them the best of luck tonight at home against Brazos! Go Brahmas!
