On Sept. 8th, the new McDonald’s opened their drive-thru, and it was a hit. A flurry of people went to McDonald’s to try out the latest fast-food establishment in Hallettsville. Many people loved the food there.
“I loved the McDonald’s food, my favorite things there are the fries and the caramel frappuccino,” Daisy Aguilar, a sophomore at Hallettsville High School, said.
While many people love the food there, the workers and managers think that McDonald’s is a very good place to work.
“I think I chose McDonald’s because it’s a well-recognized brand. I know what they stand for, so I personally think they’re the best in fast food. I want to work for the best. And I also heard good things about how they treat their crew members, managers, and there’s obviously a lot of area for growth, too,” said McDonald’s manager Robert Wezeman.
McDonald’s also utilizes teamwork in every part of the job. This makes it easier for people to work.

“You know, it’s a team job. We’re working with each other every day. So I would say every aspect of McDonald’s is like a team sport, but it’s a job. Every day, we’re working as a team,” Wezeman said.
McDonald’s has a very good reputation for how it treats its employees, and its scheduling is even better.
“I think it’s a great job. We have a very open schedule, so we can kind of work around your needs. So I do think it’s a very good place to work,” Wezeman said.
With great food and great staff, McDonald’s is the perfect place to go if you want a quick bite or a great job.
