The Hallettsville Brahmas took on the Beeville Trojans this past Friday, September 27th. The Trojans took the victory on their Homecoming night outsourcing the Brahmas 19-26.
“This game definitely showed us that we’ve corrected our mistakes from the previous game but it also opened up room for improvements stretching from our coaches to each player,” said senior football player Gus Weiser. “We each have a job that has yet to be mastered. But we are far from being finished.”
According to the coaches, the Brahmas have been working on new offensive plays for and patching up some holes that they have seen in the defense. The team has been doing a great job adapting and playing well, quickly learning the routes.
“I think we definitely found some pieces of our offensive identity that we can rely on moving forward,” shared the Brahma’s offensive coordinator, Carson Schindler. “We’ll be able to watch the film and find ways to improve on the things we didn’t do well, in addition to finding some new wrinkles off the things we have done well to this point. Our guys have done a good job learning from previous games and improving each week, and we expect them to do the same this week.”
Despite the loss, the Brahmas are hopeful that they can pull off a win this Friday. They currently have a record of 2-3.
The Brahmas play the Rockport Pirates this Friday, October 4th for Hallettsville High School’s Homecoming game. The game starts at 7:00 p.m. Homecoming festivities will take place at half-time.
