On Sept. 26, the Lady Brahma varsity volleyball team lost its 4-0 winning streak against Columbus. Even though the girls lost their streak, they are still confident in each other’s abilities and their teamwork on the court.
“I think that we do a very good job at communicating with one another, and if we get down, we pick each other up,” Sophomore Christine Felcman said.
On Tuesday, Sept. 30, the Lady Brahma varsity volleyball team lost to the Lady Cobras, and now they have a record of 4-2 in district play. It wasn’t a good game for the Lady Brahmas, but they gave their best to have a good finale and work their hardest for a comeback.
“We had a lot of people who improved this year,” Assistant volleyball Coach Kresta said. “We have our Seniors, Juniors, and Sophomores working their hardest in practice and in games.”
On Friday, Oct. 3rd, the girls would play the Lady Bulldogs. Since playing the Bulldogs last, the girls had made significant self-improvement.
“They threw me in a new position that I wasn’t great at, but now I’ve just improved a lot at it, and now I’m way better than at the start of the season,” Sophomore Kylee Vornsand said.
Even the seniors had gained experience since the start of the season.
“I think as a senior it’s really important to be a leader to my teammates… I think that it is really important to make sure that my teammates are comfortable, that they have great sets so they have a good game themselves,” Senior Alaina Halata said.
As of right now, the Lady Brahmas are in 3rd place, and we hope that they will win against Yoakum and go to the championships.
