Here are a few thoughts I have for all my Brahma family out there for the Holidays!
“For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
Now, let’s talk about this. This verse is all about the promise of Jesus, the ultimate gift of love and peace. For us students and teachers too, it’s a reminder that we are not alone, even in the chaos of school, friends, and growing up. It’s saying, “Hey, there’s a greater plan, and it’s got your name on it.” There are different ways you can explore or break down how this scripture speaks to the pressures of adolescence, like finding your identity, dealing with peer pressure, or feeling overwhelmed. The promise of a “Wonderful Counselor” and “Prince of Peace” offers comfort and guidance, which is exactly what students need. The holiday season can be overwhelming, especially for students and teachers. Between exams, social media, and figuring out who you are, it’s easy to get lost in the noise. But Isaiah 9:6 tells us you’re not alone! The birth of Jesus represents hope, love, and peace – exactly what we all crave. Please let these words for the soul be a source of comfort and strength, reminding you to focus on what truly matters – love, hope, and peace. Merry Christmas & Happiest of Holidays to all reading this! Go Brahmas!
