The Hallettsville Brahma soccer team has been improving throughout the season. They have been working hard in every practice and game to make their goal come true and make it to the playoffs.
“The season is going better than expected, the team’s goal is to make it to the playoffs and be competitive, the team needs to improve on their control in the game, share the ball and learn how to play as a team,” Soccer Coach Jesus Gonzalez said.
The soccer season has gone better than expected so far, with both coaches and players recognizing growth. Players have noticed the team’s hard work paying off, especially in terms of effort and support.
“The season is going good, we are trying hard and working hard doing what we have to do. We need to improve our communication during the games. We support each other on and off the field and we always hyping each other,” junior Sergio Aguillon said.
In addition to strong team chemistry, some players believe this season stands out from past years.
“I think this is our best year yet since we started the season. We have great coaches and we have been doing a lot better than we had. A part of the team I have improved the most in is passing and spacing out. We support each other by motivating each other and trying to have a good time,” senior Logan Diamco said.
Although the team had a great start, the players are still working on their performance and have some improvement, as reflected in the challenges the team has faced and what they can do to improve moving forward.
“The season is going super well, we showed a lot of improvement, and hope to continue to win our future games and make it to the playoffs. I play defense and I definitely improved on communication and interacting with the other players on the field and playing as a team. The team supports practice. We are there to support each other, working hard and helping each other. That’s the main thing as a team,” junior Chandler Wimberly said.
As the season continues, the team is looking forward to building more effort and success through their hard work and dedication, showing that the effort they put every day in practice is paying off this season.
