Many members of the Hallettsville High School senior class already have plans for after graduation. Some of them have already applied for colleges and have career plans set for their futures. These students are prepared to graduate and head off to college at the end of the year. Aubrey Freytag tells us her plans for her future.
“After high school, I plan to attend Texas A&M University and major in public health. With that, I want to also take prerequisites to be able to get into med school, so I can then become a family medicine MD. I want to be a doctor and hopefully come back to a rural community.”
Knowing where you plan on going after high school is very useful for your future plans. Many high schoolers apply for scholarships and colleges while still in high school. Jake Ressler shares his plans with us.
“I plan to attend Texas A&M University in the fall and major in agri-business at Texas A&M, and with that degree, I want to pursue a career in the beef cattle industry, particularly in the business side of things. Either owning my own business or working in the risk management and risk protection side of the beef cattle industry, where we work with things like futures markets, livestock risk protection, and other things to ensure producers’ profits.”
Being ready to head off to college after high school graduation is a great step towards your future. Hallettsville High School’s counselors do their best to assist students in preparing and applying for colleges. Having an idea of what you want your future career to be is the first step towards being successful in life.
