After 10 months of learning and working hard, it’s time to take a break and relax! As summer is around the corner, students of HHS are excited. As some of them would get their first job or go to amazing places, they shared how they would spend their summer.
“What I’m most excited about summer is just to get a break from school, and to just live life. I might get a job, but I definitely will be doing summer work outside. Something on my bucket list is that I want to get back active with sports and working out. Something exciting is me going to Florida and visiting my family,” freshman A’mariah Bedford said.
Summer is the season that reminds us to come alive, no worries of stressing about school work, tests, long nights of studying, or early mornings with classes. It’s time to relax and pursue happiness. Most people are excited about visiting new places and seeing their families after a long time.
“I’m most excited to start up work again at Splashway and be able to sleep in each morning. I’d like to make a good amount of money this year, and also take a trip to the beach with my friends. I think we’re going on a family trip this summer, but I don’t exactly know where,” junior Kennedy Walpole said.
As summer is getting closer, people are starting to make their bucket list for this summer. And having the opportunity to be able to try new things and make new memories. Also, being able to become a better person.
“I’m most excited about my camps that I’ll be going to because I just love socializing and getting to know more people and having fun with people who have the same interests as me. I’ll be working at Splashway again this summer,” sophomore Zyann Villocillo said. “My bucket list is full, I first want to know how to drive a manual and do summer-related stuff like make swimsuit baskets, paint little tote bags and I just want my relationship with God to continue to flourish. I’m really excited about not having school because summer just brings out so many good things; with hot weather outside and just doing activities is so exciting. Summer is just the time to make memories and I’m excited to do that,” Villocillo said.
Summer is full of outdoor activities. This is the time to get out as much as you can for as long as you can. You get to spend time with close friends, each summer is a summer people look forward to.
“What I’m most excited about this summer is I will get time to hang out with my friends and family, even though I’m still too young to get a job right now but I’m planning to continue playing soccer and win several games. Another thing that I’m excited about is getting my 4-wheeler back,” freshman Lila Burnes said.
Enjoy the opportunities that summer brings, the weather is perfect and having time to spend with the people you love the most. Summer is that time that everyone longs for, and when it comes, you never want it to leave.
